This special day is all about developing your child’s creativity. They bring the magic, the ideas, the energy and enthusiasm. With each child taking the lead on the area which most interests them - from art, drama, through creative writing, performance, song and dance. ***Students are grouped according to their age*** It will be a morning full of atmosphere, celebrations, friendship and fun! Before coming to PlayAct Christmas Camps -- Below are a few notes for parents on What to bring to Camp, and lunch breaks. Coming to Camp OUR CAMP IS NO NUTS, INCLUDING SPREADS, SESAME SEEDS, POP CORN OR KIWI • All students must line up outside the side door where our leaders Laura, Hazel, and Martha will collect them. Please be sure to socially distance by 2 metres. Parents are not allowed inside the building. • Students must be dropped off for start time at 10am. It is important that all students arrive at this time. • All Parents must be masked when dropping off students. • Social distancing must be maintained at all times. Parents will only be allowed into the community Hall in case of an emergency. Parents are not to gather in outside. • When dropping off students we ask parents not to keep the teacher talking. As much as we would love to catch up with you all, we will need to get the students safely into camp. • Please email us if you have any questions and we will get back to you as soon as we can. • Bathroom: Please can you make sure all students, before coming to camp have gone to the toilet. All students must wash hands afterwards after using the toilet. Toilets will be cleaned thoroughly throughout the day. When Students Enter the School. • Teachers are required to wear masks at all times when collecting students from the parents and returning students to parent. And for the entire day. • We will ensure all hands are sanitised as students arrive. If you would prefer your child to have their own sanitiser that is perfectly fine. They will be ask to sanitise at the door. What Can Students Bring to Camp OUR CAMP IS NO NUTS, INCLUDING SPREADS, SESAME SEEDS, POP CORN OR KIWI Students are only allowed to bring small bag with: - Bring your cup for some hot chocolate - Plenty of water - and packed lunch (We will have a small break) - An old t-shit / apron for Art. Please put name on it - Comfortable clothes only. There will be lots of movement - No flip-flops or croc NO TOYS FROM HOME ALLOWED Camp Pods • Students will be grouped in pods. This is the same system from last year and it worked really well. • Our main priority is keeping your child safe and well and having fun. • There will be a marked off teacher area at the front of the hall where students are not permitted. End of Camp • At the end of each camp day, we will ask the students to sanitise their hands before leaving. Collecting Students after Camp • We ask parents to wait at the gate until students are under the canopy and will be lead out by teacher • Parents will be advised on the correct location to collect their child. • Please can parents line up socially distanced by the gate and we will bring your child out to you. • If your child is allowed to walk home alone, please email us to let us know. Otherwise, students must be collected by the gate. Parents, please arrive 5 mins before the end of camp. Students need to be collected on time as the teacher needs to clean down the rooms before other camps/ classes can begin. Parents note: We truly love this time of year and are very excited to meet and work with everyone! It will be a day full of music, laughter, making art, making friends, acting, and making having some cookies and hot chocolate too.
